One Year Later: Our Partnership with WiMetrix is Flourishing!
Hello fashion tech enthusiasts - we have have special partner update for this post. WiMetrix is an AI-powered fashion factory optimisation solution which includes features such as production tracking, quality control, warehouse management, and more.
We haven’t talked about our partnership with WiMetrix previously as it made more sense to have some results to talk about first – especially when working in unfamiliar territory such as Pakistan and how AI can help fashion factories optimise their workflows.
Optimising Fashion Production Globally
However, by working with CEO Abdul Moiz Sajjad and his team since late 2023, combined with Beyond Form’s deep knowledge in commercialising fashion tech, we’ve been able to gather some great highlights of our partnership so far:
Taking the solution global with activity here in Europe – the vision is to digitally transform the fashion supply chain as quickly as possible everywhere. The CRM now includes 250+ leads to adopt the technology and ultimately helping brands hit their ESG goals big or small.
Cross-border collaborations: something exciting is cooking up with the Pakistani Embassy in Paris, solidifying the fact that such solutions have so much potential across the fashion supply chain wherever.
Why Artificial Intelligence Makes Sense for Fashion Factories
As the West increasingly seeks to improve supply chain sustainability and ethical practices, partnerships with local suppliers in the region are essential. Even more so with the integration of fashion tech and in this case with WiMetrix artifical intelligence and data analytics. By working together, we can:
Quality Control: Enhanced defect detection: AI-powered vision systems can inspect garments for defects with greater accuracy than human inspectors. Proof in point with the solution’s ability to reduce up to 50% - a huge number!
Reduce downtime: AI algorithms can predict when equipment is likely to fail, allowing for preventative maintenance to be scheduled, reducing unplanned downtime. A study by McKinsey found that predictive maintenance can reduce equipment downtime by up to 40%. WiMetrix’s metrics currently stands at 20% reduction, but this is improving exponentially as more factory data is fed into the system.
Optimized Production Planning: Improved resource allocation: AI can analyse historical data to optimize production schedules, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and minimizing waste. WiMetrix’s planning solution is seeing an additional 20% on time delivery.
In general, according to a recent study by McKinsey & Company, AI-powered solutions can improve factory floor efficiency by up to 30% and reduce operational costs by 20%.
